As part of the Biophony project, Michal Kindernay presents a selection of short films responding to contemporary ecological and social issues. The selected films are linked by a visual poetics, an emphasis on the sound component and a way of reading / listening that we still have to learn again and again to be more sensitive to our environment.

Autotherapy cycle – in the second part, there is a presentation of time-lapse films from the Autotherapy cycle. Street views with extracted  moments without the presence of passing cars. Only units of minutes remain from the many-hour recording. The project thus describes with ease and emphasis the issue of the burden of the city with passenger car traffic and brings important questions about the future development of the city into public debates.

Escape from Letea
In little poor but picturesque village between canals, the ancient forest and the sea – Letea, the animals are the main and most common inhabitants. Because of constant depopulation, disappearing of traditional living, jobs and consequences of climate change, the village is changing dramatically, many buildings lost their careers and are neglected, abandoned. Now, the animals take over the people’s dwellings. Sounds from 4 channel composition will be distributed to Biophony multichannel system.
